Papa Says Its Ok To Adopt Stronghold (Sue Yies)

In the midst of handling the Kawan-and-Hoarder case, a rescuer who is instigating another to cheat us and a few other cases, it is such a relief to receive happy and delightful news from Sue Yie, Stronghold’s new caregiver and “big sister”!

Here are some of her emails to me today:

Dear aunt kah yein,

Stronghold already poo this morning, that means he is healthy right?

Already consult papa this morning, papa agreed if there is no fosterer, we will adopt stronghold. But must make sure I will responsible for my own decision. As I have to sit for my PMR this year, I may need to sacrifice some of my time and energy for taking care of stronghold.

I hope my brothers and sisters will also help to take care of stronghold.

Thanks, aunty kah yein.

Mom let me read your book of ” pawprints on my heart”, I noticed the photo of ” Little Tiger”, it looks alike stronghold, isn’t it?

Yes, Stronghold does look like Tiger, doesn’t he? Tiger is also a tabby.

Does stronghold need a bath? How often does a cat needs to groom? Mom ask that could you suggest any pet grooming shop. Please, thank you.

Stronghold does not need a bath right now, unless he is very dirty. Even then, use a wet cloth to wipe and quickly dry him.

My feet becomes stronghold’s toy. Can I get some toys for him? What type of toy to choose for him?

Stronghold is standing up on my feet. I can feel that he is getting stronger now. I’m glad That he is growing healthy and stronger.

And from Christine:

Hi kah yein,

Have consult my boss (my husband!) whether to adopt stronghold as we already have six kids to serve. He agreed if there is no other fosterer who wish to take on, we may do so since sue yie seems to love him so much. She even set her alarm clock and woke up at 3am to feed stronghold. I think she is serious.

I think due to stronghold been born at our house, he must have some relations or bond with us in the previous life, there must be wisdom in it I suppose. I think beside picking up loving kindness, compassion and responsibility, sue yie is picking up patience too. So, instead of filling up her shopping basket, she is picking up virtues now. I am so glad to see her changes.

By the way, less items in her shopping basket may help to save some money for me and I can use the expenses save for stronghold instead. Isn’t it a good idea?

Ok for now. Time to prepare lunch. Cannot afford to eat out too often. Ok, take care.
Dear kah yein,

I have just finish reading your book of “Indy jones”. I really admire your effort, you’re willingly to sacrifice so much of your time and effort for the animals in need. My salute, I do hope I could follow your foot step but I think I will have much much more to learn.

Thank you for sharing your precious experiences. Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu!

One cat-caregiving family – made in two days!

Rejoice!!
