In June, staff from the Philippines’ leading animal welfare organisation Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) visited the Soi Dog Foundation shelter in Phuket, Thailand, to cement our partnership and lay the important foundations for tackling the dog and cat meat trade together in the Philippines 🤝

“In Soi Dog Foundation, we see a brother or a sister,” said AKF’s programme director Heidi M. Caguioa, pictured here. And we feel exactly the same.

✔️ We both have a long and proud history of helping animals in Asia and were founded within a year of each other back in the early 2000s.

✔️ Our programmes of spay and neuter, humane education, community outreach and disaster response closely mirror each other.

✔️ Our determination to end the dog and cat meat trade is equally matched.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
