Updates On 3-Legged Ginger (Aniza Abdullah�s)

It was in December 2011 that Aniza wrote to me about little Ginger, a tiny little rescued kitten whose leg had to be amputated. The surgery was done, we subsidised the cost, and Aniza found an adopter for Ginger.

It has been 4 months now, and how is Ginger?

From Aniza:

Hello Dr Chan,
Hope you are doing well. Im writing to you just to update on Ginger. Do you still remember her? Kitten with gangrenous foot and ended up underwent amputated under your subsidy. Now she is already 5 months old. She is growing happily in new home and getting bigger and fatter.
The adopter,Zue and I regularly in contact and sometimes we met during Ginger’s visits to vet. She is very nice and responsible adopter. Im glad that I made the right decision
Recently, Ginger started showing signs of ‘maturity’. She has a playmate, Snowbie a 5 month old male that was rescued after 2 wks she got adopted.
Snowbie was neutered last Monday and Ginger’s turn was yesterday. I went to see her when she was sent to the clinic. The surgery went well and she was brought home at 6pm yesterday. Today she is eating and drinking as usual and wound is also healthy.
