Juturna came to Soi Dog back in January 2019. The kind man who reported him said he showed up in the neighbourhood abandoned one day and then disappeared. He eventually returned with a rope, a rag and a plastic bag tied around his leg, half of which was missing.

Such a severe injury could not be healed and, with septicaemia setting in, our vet’s only option was amputate his leg. Over three years on, Juturna hardly remembers the difference now. A bold and confident walker, he enjoys hopping around the shelter, stopping occasionally to sniff the flowers or take a brief rest.
