This common flameback (woodpecker) was found concussed in a swimming pool. The woodpecker had unfortunately crashed against a window and fell into the pool. After being dried off and given ample rest the flameback was returned to the wild!

Do you frequently encounter birds striking your home or office windows? We got your back! Follow the tips below to prevent window strikes from happening!

🟠 Install mosquito screens on the outside of the window panel

🟠 Cover the window with netting, mesh must be small enough to prevent birds from getting their head or feet tangled into it

🟠 Install one-way transparent films, people in the building can see outside but the window looks opaque from the outside, reduce reflections

🟠 Install shutters, blinds or curtains on windows, keep them closed when possible to reduce reflections

🟠 Choose bird-friendly glass panels
