National Rescue Dog Day. Celebrate With Our Trap-N..

Celebrate with our Trap-Neuter-Release-Management (TNRM) team!
What better way to commemorate the day than by paying tribute to the community dogs (affectionately known as Singapore Specials) who live on our sunny island? The TNRM team at the SPCA traps and sterilises them to help manage the street dog population and prevent unwanted breeding and overpopulation of these dogs. While some of the dogs are released back to the site, did you know that ~1800 dogs have found loving homes since the start of the programme?
You need not worry about the ones who are returned to the community, they live their lives under the dedicated care of community feeders, who are constantly on the lookout for their wellbeing.
Many of our up-for-adoption dogs @spcasgadopt come from the hard work of the TNRM team, and we hope for nothing more than for them to receive the love they deserve. If you are willing to open your heart and home, our local dogs will blossom into amazing companions who will fill your lives with love. So let’s all give a big cheer for our community dogs, YIP YIP HOORAY!

[Officially launched in 2018, the Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage (TNRM) programme is a five-year nationwide dog sterilisation programme funded by the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), with SPCA as the lead animal welfare group for the programme. TNRM is a humane and science-based approach to managing the street dog population.]
