The Black Guardians Of The Datuks

We’ve noticed this pack of black dogs for many months now. They live in the big field in Subang Jaya where there is a clump f trees and inside this clump, are the plaques of three “Datuk”s. My husband often says they are the guardians of the Datuks and on my part, I hope the Datuks will protect them from harm so that they can continue living there in peace. They don’t disturb anyone, they just hang around there.

Adelyn Yap has been feeding them and one of them appears to be ill.

From Adelyn:

Hi Dr. Chan,

How are you? Hope you are doing well!
I am writing you this email to seek your advise and assistance. Currently i am feeding this pack of dogs, about 13 of them, daily. They are straying on an undeveloped land in Subang.
Yesterday as i was feeding them, i saw one of them, i think it’s a female, to have this piece of small red flesh on its private. I suspected it is a tumour or vaginal prolapse. I did not take a photo of it as the dog is running. Most of them are black in colour, still difficult to identify which is which sometimes.
I have no idea how much the whole treatment will cost. My plan is to send the dog for treatment and neuter her and then release her back to the pack.
Please advise if animalcare can help.
Thanks.
Adelyn

Yes, Adelyn, we can certainly help with the treatment cost and spaying as per our subsidy policies.

I’ve always wondered how we can help this pack of Black Guardians every time we pass the field. Kudos to you for feeding them.

I hope nobody will disturb them as the field is very big and they do not disturb anyone. I hope the Datuks will protect them and ward off “evil people”!
