They say when it rains, it usually pours. We received word from Claws Veterinary Clinic that one of Auntie’s dogs Brownie is down with parvo virus and now undergoing the necessary treatment. Another dog which the vet naned Elfie, has serious mange. The parvo virus has prevented us from moving the dogs to other vets and this has resulted in the clinic’s Hari Raya boarding business being effected. It has also escalated cost. What we have collected will cover half of the boarding, neutering (for the adults), vaccination and heartworm as well as other tests for the 7 dogs and 7 puppies. Please help us help settle the cost of treating Auntie’s dogs. If you are able to help, herewith the details. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
