It Was A Sad Day As 82-Year-Old Auntie Mariyee Bid..

It was a sad day as 82-year-old Auntie Mariyee bid farewell to her favourite boy Johnny today. Johnny knew that something was going to happen and he hid inside the house since yesterday. We will keep Johnny at a volunteer’s house once he has been neutered and vaccinated twice so that Auntie will have easy access to him. The transporters removed 4 dpgs and 7 puppies last week and three adult dogs today. Auntie, who is frail, has moved into a home where she will be well taken care off. As for us, we are faced with the task of neutering/spaying, vaccinating twice as well as carrying out heartworm tests on all of Auntie’s 7 adult dogs. We need to also vaccinate Auntie’s 7 puppies 2 × before pitting them up for adoption. The dogs may require to be distributed to several clinics for treatment and subsequent boarding due to lack of space. All, except for Johnny, will come to live at our sanctuary once everything is settled. Please help us with the cost of neutering, vaccinating, tests and boarding for the dogs. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
