A post about this 82-year-old auntie has been going around recently. A counsellor, who was formerly with the welfare department, is helping her and he contacted us. The Auntie lives in a remote area in Gombak with her 7 dogs. One of the dogs have also given birth to six puppies. Her husband and her two sons died years ago and hence the dogs are her family. Auntie recently collapsed and is not doing well health wise and she will be going to live in a welfare home. However, Auntie will only leave after she has rehomed the dogs. When the counsellor called us for help – we could not say no. We have removed 4 dogs and 6 puppies and will be removing the remaining three dogs in a couple of days. The problem is that we cannot keep all the dogs at the same clinic as they have space constraints and need space for Raya boarding. Hence besides Claws, we will be sourcing three other clinics which can at least take a dog each. We need to do a blood test, heartworm test, neuter/spay as well as vaccinate all the dogs twice. We are seeking your kind help and generosity to see Auntie’s dogs through. Since there are going to be multiple clinic, we have to receive funds into our account and disperse accordingly. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
