From A Stray Pup On The Streets Of Thailand To A M..

From a stray pup on the streets of Thailand to a much-loved dog living his best life in Canada, this is Saifah’s #furrytailending story.
In 2017, a Soi Dog rescue officer was dispatched to rescue a dog from Phuket’s famous Monkey Hill when, on his way back to his truck, he heard a tiny yelping sound. It was a three-week-old puppy crawling out of the woods, desperately crying for help.
He was all alone with no mother or siblings in sight, and he had multiple maggot-infested wounds. Our rescue officer brought him back to the shelter, and he was named Saifah which means “lightning strike” in Thai.
Although Saifah grew into a friendly, playful and sweet boy, it took time before he got his big break. But after three and a half years at the shelter, he was welcomed by our wonderful partner rescue Garden of Hope Rescue in Connecticut, USA, and he travelled there just before the CDC ban took effect in July.
Saifah was soon adopted and renamed Rocky. His new dad says he’s so grateful that Soi Dog cared for Rocky for all the years he was in Thailand, and he’s equally thankful that Garden of Hope Rescue chose him to be Rocky’s dad.
