When we carried out our first pound rescue at the DBKL pound in Setapak, we found a Beagle amongst the dogs in death row. She was a sad little dog with bad skin. The last pix if her fresh from the pound and at the vet clinic. One of our volunteers adopted her and nsmed her JoJo. She provides JoJo a great life and when she (JoJo) had a stroke, nursed her back to health. The first pix was taken today. For years after her rescue, JoJo was one of MDDB’s regular doggie volunteers.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
