There has been a case of a rabid dog in Serdang which resulted in the death of a 40-year-old man. We have confirmed this with the state health authorities. Given this please take care of your dogs and don’t let them roam around and go for walks on their own. Feeders, please take care of the dogs you feed if you are able to keep them isolated. Also those who go around feeding strays be very cautious of your own safety as rabies can spread like rapid fire. We need to think how we can tackle this.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
