A Rotting Leg, Nani?. Spcasingapore Was Alerted To..

#SPCASingapore was alerted to a bleeding cat lingering opposite Canberra MRT Station through our 24-hour emergency service. After her medical review with the SPCA Community Animal Clinic, she was diagnosed with grave injuries on both legs that included an open fracture, degloving injury, and an open wound that was causing tendon and muscle exposure.
Emergency amputation was done on her right hind leg due to necrosis, as her wounds were left unattended for too long. Bacteria had infected her leg and it had started rotting. (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞ Further treatment was done to save her other leg, as Nani could not afford to lose her left one as well.
She was sent home with a staff under our Medical Care Foster programme. Duties included daily cleaning to ensure her infection was under control and that the amputated leg does not get infected. Nani arrived as a cautious cat but became the most affectionate and loving cat by the end of the week. She constantly needed some form of contact. If she was not with you, she would be staring at you. 👀
Nani the sweet girl finally recovered after more than a month, and is now a proud tripod cat! She has since gone home to her loving #foreverhome.
