Both Dogs Have Been Rescued And On The Way To Our ..

Both dogs have been rescued and on the way to our half-way-home where they will be placed for the night. We are discussing on a plan for them currently. Owner was not home but our volunteer spoke with him over the phone. Apparently they have had both dogs since puppies. When asked about the cage, he said he had ordered one more cage and was waiting for it. We did not buy any of the waffle and hence removed the dogs. Not wanting unnecessary drama and since going to lodge a police report would take a lot of time – we went to the area’s state assemblyman instead. YB Dr Gunaraj George, the ADUN for the constituency where the house was located Taman Botanic, summoned a Klang Municipal councilor and both accompanied our volunteers to the premises to remove the dogs. We will speak with the owner once again and will get a referal letter from YB Gunaraj for the DVS. Will also message the Klang OCPD tomorrow morning for advice on what the police can do. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
