Kitten Stuck Under Vent. Spcasingapore Was Informe..
#SPCASingapore was informed of a kitten hiding under a carpark vent at Queenstown. Mewing loudly, he was clearly in distress. After ~30mins, our Rescue Officer finally managed to get the tiny kitten out after luring him with some food. He was a little stressed out from the heat and anxiety, but otherwise healthy with no injuries! Chayen (named after the Thai milk tea!) has since found his #foreverhome.
Your vigilance plays a huge part in helping our injured, sick, distressed, and lost/abandoned animals. By calling our 24/7 emergency hotline at 6287 5355 Ext. 9, you’re potentially giving them a second chance in life!
Before reaching out, you can also help our emergency desk by preparing the following information as best you can:
- Location, date, time of the incident
- Signs of injuries/sickness/abandonment (e.g. collars found)
- Whether you/someone you know can monitor the animal’s whereabouts until a rescue officer arrives
- Any useful information to help us get hold of the animal (e.g. their hiding spots, usual timing when sighted)
- Pictures/videos of the animal (if any)
The SPCA’s emergency rescue services sees over 7-10 cases daily and it is vital that we prioritise emergencies where an animal’s life or well-being is in danger. As such, we seek members of the public’s understanding that the SPCA will need to first attend to cases that pose immediate risk to an animal’s health and life. For non-emergencies relating to community animals, please reach out to enquiries@spca.org.sg.
