Forests provide us with air, food, clean water and protection against natural disasters.

The Bidayuh community in Jagoi, Sarawak, is pooling their resources and working with partners to restore and sustainably manage their ancestral forests of Mount Jagoi. The mature forests of about 600 hectares, at Jagoi and neighbouring hills are the sources of clean water for the surrounding villages.

The Jagoi community may be small in number, but their efforts and commitment in conserving the forests are big. They are contributing to making the world a greener place.
