Updates On Blackey, Sporo-Cat In Kedah (Sha�s)

Updates from Sha:

Sad news, the sporo comes back..the wound opens up and begins to bleed soon after I take her back.�The vet asked me to bring her back to the clinic in 2 weeks time (interval time without medication). And the treatment and boarding at the clinic will continue like before.�I have been fostering�many kittens cats during the past years but�Blackey�is the�most serious case I have ever seen. kind of panic and anxiety�at the same time. And her hernia is getting bigger too, bigger than�an egg. Surgery is needed to remove the blockage and to repair the hernia. Right now, I’m trying to deal with the vet what should I do within this interval period.

According to Sha, the vet has decided to stop the medication for 2 weeks and has asked Sha to take Blackey back. Apparently, he has his own protocol for treating sporotrichosis. He is not using Itraconazole, but another medication.*

We’ve pledged our subsidy for Blackey’s treatment (the sporo and the hernia).

* Updates on 5th March – Apologies for the error above. Sha just informed me that the vet IS using Itraconazole under a different brand name.
