This is Shakin Stevens and he has a mental dissability. He was born with only half a brain and one side of his head is empty. Because of this he has a coordination prob. Shakin, who is very very loving towards humans, hates all other dogs. So we have an entire room for him far away from the others. If he sees other dogs or hears them, Shakin gets into a frenzy and bites his butt – hence the need for the e-collar. He has been with us close to 7 years. Say hi to Shakin Stevens.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
