Join us on February 24th at 9:30 AM for another session in our Environmental Speaker Series, this time on the topic of “Can We Achieve Net Zero by 2050?” The Environmental Speaker Series is organized by WWF Malaysia and sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur.
Net-zero refers to a state in which greenhouse gases going into the atmosphere are balanced by removal out of the atmosphere. Achieving net-zero is regarded as the best way forward in our fight against climate change. As more and more countries all over the world commit to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, the question remains – is net zero a realistic goal, or will it be easier said than done?
This talk will feature Eric D. Larson, Senior Research Engineer at the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, Princeton University, who specializes in energy systems analysis relating to advanced clean-energy technologies. He will be joined by Joel Kwong, a Partner at Boston Consulting Group, Kuala Lumpur who has worked with multiple energy players to build a strategic case and entry approach into clean energy. The session will be moderated by WWF’s very own Climate Adaptation Coordinator, Kelvin Diong.
See you there!
