Are spay and neuter programmes really effective? 🤔
With approximately 10-12 million street dogs in Thailand, spay and neuter or Catch I Neuter I Vaccinate I Return I CNVR) is the most effective, humane and sustainable method to control the over-population.
But, how effective is it and what is the right way to do it?
Last year, we saw the results of a survery that was carried out in Bangkok by Soi Dog, ICAM – the International Companion Animal Management Coalition and the Kasetsart University in Bangkok. The survery assessed how the number and the welfare of street dogs have changed in the metropolitan areas where our CNVR project was being carried out since 2016.
To learn more about this scientific survery and its astounding results, watch the video below or check out this article on our April 2021 edition of the ‘Soi Dog Post’: https://pub.soidog.org/post/Apr21/Soi%20Dog%20Post%20April%2021%20Hi-res.pdf

The CNVR project in Bangkok is part funded by Dogs Trust Worldwide and your amazing support.
