Tiger Roams Outside Primary School Fence

We share our concerns for the safety of the staff and students at Sekolah Kebangsaan Balar, near Gua Musang, Kelantan where a tiger was reportedly sighted.

After the recent tragic incident where an orang asli villager was killed by a tiger, which was then shot dead, we urge that for future encounters, authorities adopt best strategies which will assure the safety of both human and tiger.

Preservation of all life is a priority. We must ensure the safety and welfare of all. At the same time, we cannot afford to lose another critically endangered Malayan tiger.
