Marine Turtles Are Impacted By Anthropogenic Threa..
Marine turtles are impacted by anthropogenic threats such as incidental catch, turtle parts and egg poaching, habitat degradation, and impacts of climate change.
The WWF-Malaysia marine programme focuses on reducing threats.
Among the key strategies, are:
✅ bycatch mitigation measures and,
✅ reducing poaching of marine turtles and its eggs.
If incidental catch mitigation measures are implemented, plus legislation, hatchery management, enforcement on marine turtles are improved – this will be able to reduce mortality rates of turtles from incidental catch, as well as poaching, and impacts of climate change.
