Adorable But Oh-So-Naughty Little Diva
Tweet |
I just spent the last 1 hour trying to “extricate” Diva from her hiding place…
I came home from work and saw Diva had made those precious “rocks” (glorious poo!) we had been waiting for – well-formed and good looking ones, too. So, that’s a relief…at least we now know she can pee and poo on her own. There was pee in the litter box as well. More than that, she had also kicked sand out of her box onto the floor and overturned her water bowl.
She seemed hungry so I fed her and this time, she did not need to be handfed. She ate on her own. After eating, I let her out to roam since she had been in the cage for 3 hours or so while I was at work.
She made a direct bee-line to the back of the TV rack where she had discovered to be the “warmest” place in the living room (that’s where the hi-fi set is).
I thought it would be safe to let her be there.
The next thing I knew, she had crawled UNDER the TV rack and…
The TV rack is such that the gap underneath is very narrow. I peeped underneath and saw her staring at me, like saying, “I’m quite happy here, don’t mind me.”
Ok, as long as you don’t get up to any mischief, because I don’t really know what is underneath the TV rack as I’ve never seen the bottom of it before.
Soon, she started mewing. I knew she was calling me. I went to check underneath and there she was…mewing loudly. I tried to reach under to pull her out, but it was impossible without getting her hurt. So, I thought it would be best to just leave her be. If she could get in, she would be able to get out. After all, I know exactly where she is. Maybe when she is hungry, she will come out, but that would probably be evening already.
However, I didn’t know there were crevices underneath the TV rack and after awhile, when I looked underneath….oh help!! There was no more DIVA. Where IS she???
To cut a long story short, I looked all over, pulled out the TV rack, but she was no where to be seen.
My part-time cleaner helped as well, and suddenly she screamed…..
“Oh no….she’s been squashed!!”, she squealed.
I looked underneath and there was just a leg dangling from the top of the underside of the TV rack!!
Oh gosh….
I reached in and felt for her, and plop….she dropped down onto the floor.
Phew….
We had no choice, but to use the broom to sweep her out.
Sorry for using such undignified means, Diva.
Naughty, naughty, naughty girl!!
It’s back to the cage for you!
I frontlined her (she did not put up any fight) and syringed in some water. She still cannot lap water by herself.
It’s now not such a big mystery how she landed on the three-laned divider….if she can be so adventurous and mischievous!
