We rescued Jason in Feb 2017 after he was found witj a gapping wound on his neck. He bloomed into a happy and friendly dog and became one of our blood donors. Jason has saved many doggy lives for almost three years before he retired. Suddenly last year, Jason was slightly ill. We took him to Gasing Veterinary Hospital and was shocked with what we found out.
Jason had high grade renal cell carcinoma. In Aug, his right kidney, which had the mass was removed but unfortunately the entire growth could not be removed as it had moved to the major blood vessels and surrounding structures. The vet said the cancer was spreading rapidly and being a strong and otherwise healthy dog, Jason has shown no symptom until now. He is refusing to eat and we suspect the end is nearing for Jason. Today he goes to Gasing for a follow-up. Please keep him in your thoughts with the hope his transition will be smooth and with no suffering.
