Happy New Year From Soi Dog Foundation To You!

As 2021 ends and we usher in a brand new year, we would like to send out a big thank you on behalf of the animals you saved from an unthinkable fate on the streets over the year. Thanks to your wonderful support, we were able to overcome all the difficulties that 2021 presented, from lockdowns to travel restrictions and adoption bans.

Thank you so much🐾🧡!!

Among all, one of the biggest challenges we had to face was the ban announced by the CDC on dogs entering the United States from several high-risk rabies countries including Thailand. Only thanks to your amazing support were we able to send 86 dogs overseas, in a very, very short window of time before the ban came into effect. You have given these dogs the chance of finding a forever home overseas and start a new chapter of their lives. For this we will forever be grateful 🙏🧡.

In September, your donations also helped us provide emergency food supplies to countless animals affected by the devastating floods in Central Thailand back in October. We delivered over 100 tonnes of food to 6,000 dogs and 8,000 cats in the areas.

Your kind words of support were also the driving force that kept our staff going during the recent COVID-19 outbreak at the shelter. To avoid an unthinkable closure of the shelter, 60 staff members volunteered to live on site for nearly 3 weeks, sleeping on camping mats and isolated from the outside world. Just to make sure all the animals under our care received the best treatment possible 🙏🧡.

Last but not least, Soi Dog has neutered and vaccinated over 128,000 animals in Thailand this year, while also treating thousands of animals on the streets and at our hospitals.

These are just a few ways you helped street animals in 2021.

There are simply no words to describe how crucial the support of animal lovers like you is for us to keep improving the welfare or stray animals in Asia. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing up for animals in need, it’s overwhelming to see what we can achieve together. Here’s to a better world for street dogs and cats of Asia in 2022.

Happy New Year from all the animals and staff at Soi Dog ✨🐶😻🐾!
