They’re genetically distinct from the Asian elephants.

Bornean elephants are still vulnerable to habitat fragmentation, and land conversion of their habitat into agricultural lands. There is so much we can do to support the conservation of the species. Starting with little steps, such as spreading awareness, advocating for peaceful co-existence between elephants and humans and supporting the purchase of sustainably certified products.
