A Boxing Day Special

This year, we have been delighted to share weekly peeks into our cattery through Soi Dog’s #CatWatch series. Today, on Boxing Day and on the last Caturday of the year, we are excited to host the finals of ‘The Box’ series.

To recap:

‘The Box’ arrived in one of our cat suites on an unknown date and since then has been prodded, chewed and sniffed. It has also received many a Flehmen reactions, cheek rubs and most importantly has been an important topic of chatter in the cattery.

Several contenders of the clowder have tried to own ‘The Box’, but few have been successful, particularly since one ecstatic tortie acted as the self-appointed, unyielding guardian of the ‘The Box’, showing off her loyalty with an extreme case of the zoomies that no other cat could handle.

However, today, she may have finally met her match! Watch as an unsuspecting cool-as-a-cucumber ginger tabby walks onto the scene and leaves our tortie girl slightly fazed and unsure of her next moves. It’s almost as if she may have given up on her fight for ‘The Box’. ‘A Box Day’ miracle!

As with most friendly cat battles, this too ended with no real winner.😹

Thank you to everyone who tuned into our Cat Watch series, brought to you by the resident cats of Soi Dog Foundation. This week’s Cat Watch featured Propang as the lead tortie and Frony as the charismatic ginger.

We hope to see you next year with more antics from our feline residents at the Soi Dog shelter.

😻

Soi Dog Foundation is home to over 200 resident cats who faced various ordeals when living on the street. Some are available for adoption, while others will live here for the rest of their lives as they are not fit for adoption due to health issues.

These cats have somewhere safe to live, access to quality veterinary care as well as love and enrichment thanks to all those who support for their wellbeing.

Thank you to our Care for Cats Club members and cat adopters, and to all who care for street cats, for making this year a better one for the rescue cats at Soi Dog Foundation.

Meowy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
