LEGAL, EASILY AVAILABLE AND AFFORDABLE DOESN’T MEAN IT IS ETHICAL

“I love animals, but I don’t know what else to do!”

“The rats really cause a lot of damage, I just have to keep trapping them this way”

“I didn’t know my pest control uses glue traps, until I saw this snake stuck”

“Your suggestions seem more expensive and troublesome”.

“You mean my neighbours also must keep the place clean?”

We hear you!

In our right minds, we just cannot accept that #GlueTraps are the only means to resolve rodent population issue, at the same time go around the island relocating predators such as snakes who come for the rats. There is something fundamentally wrong with how we are managing our these situations.

Here are some reasons why we should not use glue traps:

- Glue traps are indiscriminate

- Glue traps are cruel (Animals who get stuck on glue traps suffer (and die) from #hypothermia, stress, dehydration and starvation)

- Glue traps don’t address the root cause of the problem

Glue traps are only cheap and affordable, because the animals pay the price in the end!

Share the simple advisory please, for their sake!

It may take a long time to effect changes at the policy level, but in the mean time there are individual actions that can help individual animals out there.
