Just sharing some info with all of you – in the event lawyers approach you offering to initiate legal action against animal abuse related cases, please take note of this:

1. If they say they are doing it pro bono, they should not be taking a sen from you. But you must also be considerate and pay for the filing. Usually it’s only a few hundred RM but considering petrol and toll – a one off payment of RM1,000 will suffice.

2. In the event a group of 10 people or organisations are asked to pay RM600 each for expenses, the amount will come up to RM6,000. This is no longer pro bono and you are a paying client. You will now need to find out if the legal fee charged is reasonable or an inflated amount.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
