It’s no coincidence that our 🌟Dog of the Week🌟 Petra is named after one of the new seven wonders of the world. She’s a special girl who deserves to be protected and adored! https://links.soidog.org/petra-the-wonderdog

Two-year-old Petra was rescued from an unsafe neighbourhood in July last year. There were threats to impound her and rumours of past poisonings in the area, so we brought her to our shelter for her safety. Thanks to your support, she received the care and treatment she’d been neglected for so long, including surgery for an old fracture to her leg.

After a year of near-constant trauma and fear on the streets, it’s heartwarming to see Petra relax into shelter life. As you’ll see in the video below, she’s discovered the joy of walks, water tubs and warm cuddles! Every wag of her little bobtail tells us that she’s recovering from her ordeal and is ready to take the next step into a home of her own.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
