On a recent visit to the UK, our co-founder John Dalley met with an old friend he’d known very closely and had even shared his house with back in the day…

Polo was rescued by John’s wife and fellow Soi Dog co-founder Gill Dalley back in 2013. She was just skin and bones at the time but made an amazing transformation and was almost unrecognisable after treatment.

Polo moved to John and Gill’s home where it was soon discovered that she had a naughty streak, like the time she joined forces with another of the Dalley’s dogs and destroyed their outdoor furniture, turning the garden into a “winter snow scene”.

Polo was eventually adopted to Gill’s best friend Donna Freelove in the UK where she’s been living a spoilt life ever since, with visits to the beach and regular games of chase the postman/delivery man/window cleaner/squirrel.

Since travelling to the UK, Polo had been reunited with John on a few occasions. For a dog that’s usually cautious around men, she was putty in John’s hands when they met this time around. What a reunion it was!
