Pak Dins Fence And Other Matters (from Chew)

Updates on Pak Din’s fence, from Chew:
Visited Pak Din on 22 feb to deliver the dog food contributed by Animalcare and to get an update of the conditions.
Todate we have collected Rm 1255.10 in donations for Pak Din’s welfare and have incurred the following expenses:
1. Fencing and fixtures Rm570.10
2. 1 bag cement Rm17.50
3. wire rods to anchor fencing Rm17.00
All expenses will be supported by receipts whenever possible. On 10 feb Wuan together with his ex classmate Chin, who kindly offered use of his van to carry the wire netting to Pak Din, otherwise we would have incurred additional expenses for transporting the wire netting. Due to the steepness of the terrain Chin’s van could not go up and Wuan and Pak Din had to carry the netting all the way up…..a real good workout if anyone is preparing to climb a mountain someday!!
Pak Din is putting up the fencing by himself bit by bit and so far has completed more than 50ft. In total he needs to put up about 150ft of fencing. After the fencing is completed he will need to repair his roof which currently is made of plastic sheets and leaking here and there. He needs some help to put up the roof beams and I’m planning to round up a couple of friends next week to help him. He’s still looking to buy second hand zinc roofing sheets for his roof as they cost much less. However in worst case we may have to buy new roofing. Also if anybody has a power drill to loan him it’ll be greatly appreciated. He needs to drill some holes in the beams as it makes it easier to hammer in nails as they are of hardwood and very hard to nail.
His animals are really getting big and next priority is to get his only female puppy(or youngster!!) spayed. The rest are males and can wait while. I will help him bring the puppy(named ‘Tip’ as her tail has got a white tip) on 4 march to Klinik Kembiri in setapak for spaying. All the pups are also due for their second vaccination which is overdue but unfortunately the vet is short hand handed at his clinic and cannot spare the time during weekdays to go to Pak Din’s place. We’re still waiting for his free off day to do it.
Otherwise all the animals are fine including Pak Din who wishes to meet and personally thank all of you someday for all your kindness and generosity.
I’ve attached a couple of photos and downloaded the rest on photo sharing website Photobucket at the following links:

Warmest regards to All,
Chew
We would like to thank the 6 readers of our blog who have donated towards Pak Din’s needs. We will continue helping Pak Din with food supplies and the medical needs of his animals.
I’m so glad we are able to do this bit for Pak Din and his animals. It is truly working together in that we cover the medical, spay-neuter, food subsidies and publicity, Chew and Wuan does the physical work, and our readers get to donate and help spread the word, too.
This is certainly a wonderful way of working together for the animals!
Thank you all.
