In the past dogs infected with distemper would be put down as the general assumption is that chances of survival is bad. However that has been proven wrong by many. Dogs with distemper treated in a home environment have a good chance of survival. Here are two dogs that beat the odds after suffering from serious distemper survival. The older dog is Rainbow and the owner is Saw Jee whilst the youngster is Chewie and owned by Sarah Wong.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
