"To my right, Ka Lai, ACRES’ co-CEO, is driving with the grim expression of a man in need of caffeine. To my left, Laurie Day, his partner for today’s shift, is triaging calls to their hotline, toggling between phones (one for ACRES’ case logs, one for the hotline) like she’s competing in the multi-tasking #Olympics. From what I can tell, she’s...

When It Comes To Puppies, We Always Tell Independa..
5th Aug 2021, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

When it comes to puppies, we always tell independant rescuers to foster them first as our place is not suitable for motherless puppies. We took in some motherless puppies in late Feb and March and found them infected with distemper. Luckily we managed to find a clinic to keep them. Wonderful Mission For Homeless Cats
4th Aug 2021, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase

Lamia Enan closes the front door behind her at 4:30 each morning, setting off on feeding rounds for well over 100 homeless cats. The Egyptian-born rescuer starts pouring sacks of kibble in the port area first, before daybreak, because those cats are at greater risk of being hit by cars rushing to the ferry. Afterwards, groups of cats in less traveled areas are fed and given fresh water. Wandering geese and chickens commonly join the feast. The cats are spayed/neutered but people bring her kitten...
