We were told that Mary's feeder wanted her back after her injuries healed. Apparently she had been taking care of Mary, her siblings as well as Mary's mother but had not been able to neuter them hence population growth. We told her that Mary will remain with us after she is discharged - which is not anytime now. Mary's wounds are getting better and she is responding well to treatment. She will be vaccinated and spayed as well.

Next up, is a special group of turtles, i.e. the softshell turtles!
They are so-called because they have a flexible, leathery carapace, instead of a hard shell. The light shells allow them to move more easily in open water and along muddy lake bottoms and much faster on land than most turtles!
First, we have the Narrow-headed Softshell Turtle (Chitra chitra), that grows to over 1.2 metres in length and weighs up to 254 kilograms!

Doggy boy is admitted at Gasing. His rescuer says he is fully vaccinated, yet is infected with parvo. The same thing happened with a few dogs that we took in from another rescuer that were all fully vaccinated but still got distemper. Apparently the vet explained that it could happen just like how people could still get Covid-19 in spite of being fully vaccinated. So better be careful and not take for granted that vaccinated dogs cannot get parvo or distemper. Hopefully, this boy will recover so...

Teh Contacted Us For Help To Catch A Few Dogs A Mo..

Teh contacted us for help to catch a few dogs ( a mother dog and her 2 pups and a male dog ) he and his wife, Wai Leng have been feeding in Shah Alam. They attempted a few times to get especially the mother dog for spaying but weren’t successful.
We went over yesterday morning and we managed to get all of them. They have been sent to our panel clinic after the catch.
