7th Dec 2008, by Noah's Ark CARES

Paul was walking along one of the pet farms located at Pasir Ris when a pair of Sharpeis which were being sold for $880 each caught his attention. Cramped in metal cages, the 2 of them were snuggled together for warmth. As he already had 2 huskies at home, all he could do was hope for the best for them and he decided he would return another day to see if they had been bought.Weeks passed and Paul decided to visit the pet farm since he lived nearby. To his dismay, he saw that the Sharpeis were st...

30th Nov 2008, by Noah's Ark CARES

From afar, we heard the welcoming barks as they smelt and heard our car drive onto the gravel road. After all, Noah’s Ark is a free-roaming animal sanctuary.Hiding from the s...

Toy Dog Cruelly Abandoned At An Industrial Estate
17th Nov 2008, by Noah's Ark CARES

LATEST UPDATE A volunteer has taken the little dog to Mt Pleasant (Sunset Way) and he was seen by Dr Ang. In fact, Dr Ang raved about how sweet he was! She estimates him to be about 10 years old, and possibly a Maltese but we wont know till his fur grows back. This is a typical dog abandonment situation, where people dump their dog once it grows old and is no longer fun or cute. Sigh, if only there were strict laws to punish such irresponsible people. This little dog is now with a friend and we ar...

Looking at Diesel today, you wouldn’t have the faintest idea how tough and sad his life had been.Diesel's initial gaping maggot infested woundDiesel's wou...

Happy In His New Forever Home - Sparky's Update
21st Oct 2008, by Noah's Ark CARES

Sparky's fur has grown back and he has put on quite a fair bit of weight. We are restraining ourselves not to over-feed him too much. He is rather greedy and is constantly looking for food, probably due to his bad experience going hungry. If we don't stop him, he will even rummage through the dustbin – something that he might have done when he was living life as a stray. Currently, I'm giving him Velcote (vitamins for silky coat) and I think its positive effects are showing. When Sparky was fir...
