Photo Never Lies 30th Jan 2011, by Second Chance
Naughty Bak Kut Teh whom roam freely outside the shed were caught and carried into the shed for a bath. He is one of the dogs dumped at the temple. Surprisingly, he is very friendly. To be this trusting of human, we do think that he used to be someone’s pet previously. Even a trip to the dog pound lately didn’t completely deter his trust in human. Bak Kut Teh, however, detest being constraint in the shed. He will whine non-stop and put his teeth to good use. The victim, the poor shed ...

Another Dog Dumped At Us 29th Jan 2011, by Second Chance
In case some may wonder how can the shed be overcrowded since we’re trying our best to rehome the furrizens, this is one of the reason. Every week, we have an average of 3-5 dogs dumped outside the shed. And today is no exception. However, we’re very shocked at the condition of the poor dog... terribly skinny and weak, just lying there almost motionless. Aunty Kiew gently put the dog in the carrier and Aunty Kim rush him/her to the vet.. As of now, we’re not sure how the dog is doing. ...

Both CHampion and Lala who are just as gorgeous are also looking for home. Please do write us if you like to adopt them. A very petrified Lala when she was just rescued. Less petrified ( but still very shy ) Lala now. Don’t you just love how the lighter colour fur on her face form a love shape? >_< ...

My Journey – Learning Basic Dog Training Skills By Mary Chye 27th Jan 2011, by Noah's Ark CARES
When a fellow volunteer asked if I would be interested to learn how to train dogs, little did I know I would be gaining more then just a skill. In the process of learning, I gained new understanding on how to handle dogs, experienced the joy in seeing dogs growing up and getting adopted out as well as gaining new friends from Noah’s Ark.The purpose of getting a group of volunteers to acquire the knowledge was to equip us with the ability to train new dogs to become accustomed to basic comm...

Why CheChe Loves Hanging Out At The Temple Now 27th Jan 2011, by Second Chance
Cheche is one of the furrizen with the longest ‘tenure’ in the shed. Aunty Kiew will always let Cheche roam outside the shed when she comes to feed the furrizen knowing that Cheche will obediently return to the shed. Nowadays, we find that Cheche is very reluctant to return to the shed. Everytime we go to fetch her back to the shed, she will lie down on her belly and refuse to budge. So most of the time we end up carrying her back to the shed :D And last week we find out why… ...

Urgent Help Needed 26th Jan 2011, by Second Chance
We received following SOS from Teresa. Please please help if you’re staying near Old Klang Road. Attached are pics of a brown dog, whom I have befriended and named Moolloo. His behavior seems quite peculiar to me. I have been feeding him from last Thursday. No idea where he came from but he seem like a very young dog (clean white teeth & is very active). He takes shelter under the plants at the Jalan Klang Lama - Jalan Puchong intersection. At rush hours (mornings and evenings), I...

Some Updates 26th Jan 2011, by Second Chance
Can guess who they are? Bet nobody can. They are Marco and Pepper. See how clean the front of their house is, no shoes will be spared if there is one. Oh, cars too are not spared if they are obstructing their view outside. Marco, the white male is the naughty one who will sometimes dashed out of the house and refuse to come back. Petit mama have a hard time controlling him and is thinking of finding a home for him if someone is willing to accept him, otherwise she will still keep him. On ...

Kiki, Out 25th Jan 2011, by Second Chance
If you’re thinking… Hey, this pup look familiar…. that’s because his gorgeous sister, Queenie just got adopted one day before him. And they do look pretty similar at a glance. Kiki may not have luscious thick fur as Queenie does, but he is just as gorgeous =) Kiki was very ferocious and wary of human when he was first rescued, but thanks to the TLC of his temporary fosterer, who’s a friend of Kim, he started to trust us. We like to take this opportunity too to thank Kim’s ...

Never judge a book by it’s cover =) Subu, although huge in size and has the look of a very grumpy dog, is a gentle giant. Click here to read more about Subu when she was first brought back to the shed. She was all skin and bone then. Subu is very friendly toward human, and generally friendly toward other furrizens. She loved nudging us (instead of barking) to get our attention =) SUBU, THEN SUBU, NOW Although still quite skinny, but we do think she’s looking more cheerf...

My Experience At Noah's Ark 22nd Jan 2011, by Noah's Ark CARES
I first heard about Noah’s Ark through http://furry-photos.com a few months ago, but I didn’t manage to convince my parents to go for that month’s tour because my mum thought $60 was a little steep. Then recently, Nicholas posted an entry about his visit to Noah’s Ark to shoot for the 2011 calendar, and this time, I managed to convince my mum to go because the tour fell on the same day as her birthday. She said that since it was her birthday, it should be fun to do something special and ...
