Market CNRM - Return To Market Day 2
16th Jun 2011, by AnimalCare

Ah Fatt helped pick up the 6 cats (5 females and 1 male, all spayed-neutered, but this includes 2 previously-spayed females whose ears have now been notched) and sent them back to the market at 8pm this evening. We met him there.   Here are four of them. Another two. This little boy is Ah Fatt's youngest son.  He's learning the ropes from his dad, obviously.  Look at that adorable little kitten.  He's come to greet his friends again. Deciding where to put w...

Bushytail Is Doing Well (and So Is Sudhamma!)
15th Jun 2011, by AnimalCare

Updates on Bushytail by Sudhamma:She ate fish and dry food.  She can walk but I don't let her walk so much.  Still keep in cage.  Already taken antibiotics.  Done warm compression, applied Flavin on her leg and changed her pad.  The stomach wound looks dried up.  She did not make a noise; she is easy to deal with.  I can see that she is recovering fast.  She is a very strong cat.Oh yes, she certainly is.  She probably didn't know how severe her case w...

Kuda Discharged From The Vet
15th Jun 2011, by MDDB & MCCP Penang

Kuda has been discharged from the vet. We feel that it would be better for Kuda to recuperate in a home environment rather that cooping inside a kennel at the vet where he could hardly moved. With loving care from our rescuer, he would probably be able to heal faster. He seems more relax and comfortable upon reaching the home of our rescuer. He even finished up his whole meal specially prepared for him.Kuda will need to continuously go to the vet for follow-ups until he make a full recovery. Tho...

The Sunny Kittens
15th Jun 2011, by AnimalCare

Yesterday, I gave the Sunny Kittens a pedicure (had their nails trimmed at the tip). It was very easy with Rex and Fox, but with Honeybear, it was quite a struggle!Honeybear is turning out to be the most mischievous of the three. But he is absolutely adorable, as are Rex and Fox.They are still the most obedient kittens I've ever fostered. They don't make a noise when I'm not around and would be happily playing or sleeping in their room....until I get home. And even when I do, they don't scratch ...

Lilac, To Be Discharged
14th Jun 2011, by AnimalCare

The vet had been so busy the past few days, he still had not prepared Lilac's bill during the few times I had gone to the clinic. He finally did today, and we've now paid for it.  The bill came up to a whopping figure, and after subtracting the deposit the owner had left there (supposedly for euthanasia as they said they could not afford the surgery fee), it was still quite a sum.  Lilac had also been boarded for so long now, and all this costs money.  Lilac's case is on...

The Return Of The First Batch Of The Market CNRM Cats
14th Jun 2011, by AnimalCare

I went to check on the other seven cats at our other clinic this evening.  The five females and one male have been spayed-neutered.  The one I'm touching here is the male - the only thorn among the roses in this batch.  He's so friendly and has totally recovered from the anaethesia.  One of these females also have already been previously-spayed.  The vet drew a picture to show me how her ear had been tipped ever so slightly.  It wasn't obvious whether it was a delib...

SS15 Market CNRM (updates - 3 Already Spayed)
14th Jun 2011, by AnimalCare

One of our vets just called me - this is from the clinic where we had sent 7 of the market cats.  The black-and-white one (the one who was looking really sad, remember?) has bad flu, so she could not be spayed.  She is now under treatment.  Of the remaining six, five are females and one is male.  Amongst the females, TWO have already been previously spayed.  Again??Unfortunately, the vet had already opened them up to look for the uterus, so they would need to recover fro...
