JACKIE THE JACK RUSSEL TERRIER
4th Jul 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Last weekend someone from Teluk Pulai, Klang called to say that his neighbours had 'discarded' their Jack Russel Terrier. They had simply opened the gate and shooed the dog out. The poor fellow had returned home only to be chased away again by the maid. The man, who called us, took the dog back to the house but was told that it was not theirs. This in spite of the man being a neighbour who had seen the dog at the family home on many occasions. Jackie is now at our panel vet and will be neutered ...

Something Beautiful...in Honour Of Chewie
4th Jul 2011, by AnimalCare

Even though Chewie has left us now, I continue to be amazed and deeply touched whenever I think about how much love Hebi, Lina, Angie, Doris and Zax have showered on little Chewie.  They displayed a level of responsibility, love and care far beyond their years.  They also displayed a camaraderie amongst themselves that leave us all hoping that we too have such wonderful friends in life.  As I spoke with our vet on the morning right after Chewie's burial, he too was absolutely deva...

We're On Facebook
3rd Jul 2011, by AnimalCare

Apparently, I just need to paste the link from my blog posting to facebook for every posting that I do.  Any automatic feature available, to save me some time?  It'll take me so...

And Here's.......Perky!
3rd Jul 2011, by AnimalCare

Perky was one of our Klang Pound rescues.  We took her out along with 35 others on the day they were due to be euthanised.  Perky almost did not make it as she was in a bad state.  We brought her back from the farm in Bentong after she was spayed because she appeared to be very weak.  She was treated for a few weeks.  I called her Perky (to perk her up when she was almost dying) and also because I noticed she had a zest for life despite being in an almost dying state. &n...

OLD POMERANIAN DUMPED BY SOME HEARTLESS GOONS IN KLANG
3rd Jul 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

This old male Pomeranian was left tied to a post near an MDDB volunteer's house in Klang recently. He had a maggot wound in his mouth and is partially blind due to cataract. One of his testicles also appears to have a tumour on it. According to our Klang panel vet one of the old dog's testicles is embedded inside - the one outside has the tumour. His maggot wound has healed and given that the vet reckons he is really a very senior citizen, we have been advised against any form of surgery as the ...
