Notched Or Not Notched? 28th Jun 2011, by AnimalCare
A friend who is keen to do his part in CNRM managed to capture a cat in Kota Kemuning two nights ago, and he wrote to me saying there appears to be a "hole"in one ear. He asked if he should send the cat for spaying again. I said the best is to send the cat to be examined by a vet and the vet would be able to tell (with more certainty) if the "hole" has been deliberately made. Alternatively, since there is already a "hole", one could also choose to wait for a few months and moni...

A PUPPY MILL PUPPY'S STORY 28th Jun 2011, by SPCA Selangor
A PUPPY MILL PUPPY'S STORY I don't remember much of the place where I was born. It was cramped and dark, and we were never played with by the Humans. I remember Mom and her soft fur, but she was often sick, and very thin. She had hardly any milk for me and my brothers and sisters. I remember many of them dying, and I missed them so. I remember the day I was taken from Mom. I was so sad and scared, my milk teeth had only just come in, and I really should have been with Mom still, bu...

Heng Ngoh is a coffee shop owner in Old Klang Road. She has been very kind to animals and also to us - she helps promote our tshirts to her customers and had even bought one for each of her workers. Unfortunately, the vet discovered that the dog was not well. Heng Ngoh could not quite understa...

Chewie surprised both the vets when she made a lot of noise this evening - she was demanding for food!!Eating is always a very good sign of recovery after surgery. Chewie....survives The Surgery!!! 27th Jun 2011, by AnimalCare
I drove straight to the clinic right after work. Couldn't even eat any lunch....was just too anxious over this case. Herliyati Christine and her two friends (Angie and Zax) were there. They were going to wait until the surgery is over. They are all students from Monash. So, together we waited...with bated breath. I don't know how long we waited.... Then, the vet's assistant came down, and she said everything looked alright. It was a very difficult surgery, b...
