Here's Karuna, folks...According to the vets, she is doing as well as can be expected of such an old dog and one who was brought in in this state. The daily cleaning of the bite wounds continues. Karuna is still weak, but she is able to walk to a corner to poo, and the best news is that she has a great appetite!She looks pretty sad...poor thing. Thank you, everyone, for writing in to offer tips on how to give the COW a pill. We only lost one round on Day 4, but regained our "seat" of success in the afternoon that. The carrier trick still works. He's such a pussy-cat when we put him into the carrier, and he takes his pills, after a few efforts! A Reflection On Queenie's Case

There is a comment on our posting on Queenie's unfortunate passing after being spayed. The commentor suggested that the animals be boarded at the vet's instead of being discharged. When we first started, I did ask for boarding, but our vets advised against this due to the following reasons:1. There is no 24-hour monitoring at their clinics.
