THIS Chow Chow was found loitering around the LDP near the Kelana Jaya LRT station. Miss C was rescued by MDDB members Myers Shane and Koo Swee Por. She is in the pink of health and will be returned to owner if they come to claim her. We do hope that she is reunited with her owner. HERNIA BOY a.k.a James Dean came to us about a year ago after he was hit by a car in Kapar. His feeder Irena Tan contacted us and we went and removed Hernia Boy from the streets and admitted him to a veterinary clinic in Klang.Both his legs were splayed and initially it was thought that he had suffered severe spinal cord injury.However, the vets found that he had suffered from diagrammatic hernia and needed urgent surgery. If you ever visited the shelter, you’ll see that it is divided into a few section and each section is separated by a door. There’s a good reason for this.. it is to keep furrizens that don’t get along well with each other apart so they don’t get into fights. BREAKING NEWS: A successful Petition submission and meeting with Y.B. Datuk Chor Chee Heung, Minister of Housing & Local Government, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, government reps and animal welfare NGOs.
Blanket ban to be imposed with IMMEDIATE effect on local councils nationwide on shooting or instant killing of strays. Ministry will support NGOs in follow up plans on managing strays, differential licensing to encourage spaying/neutering and tighter legislation.
