PLEASE HELP US HELP TASHI 6th Aug 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
This is Tashi and she is a stray.Tashi is currently heavily pregnant and hangs around outside the house where she gets her daily meals in Bandar Sg Long. The person who wants to help Tashi cannot take her in because she is already overloaded with six dogs. From her looks – the forehead, nose area and nails – we can see that she is shar pei cross. Sadly this means Tashi is a product of human inconsideration whereby an unneutered male shar pei must have probably be let loose to sow his blo...

Ref: http://www.myanimalcare.org/2011/08/castrated-male -caught-and-spared.htmlWe were really worried about Mr Pure White yesterday because he did not take the operation well (was slow in waking up) and thus, had to be put on drips and he spent the night at the clinic. Today, he was alright and was in fact, eating very well, too. From Cathy: I have released Mr White after giving him breakfast and he walked off without looking back. I later found him at his favourite siest...

Brownie Goes For A Run! 5th Aug 2011, by AnimalCare
Updates from Winnie:Dear Kah Yein,I went to see Brownie at 1pm today. He is lonely. I took him out from the cage & played with him. He stretched his body many times, probably due to the long sitting hours in the cage. He began to get friendly with me by biting my hands. Looks more cheerful. Hopefully can discharge tomorrow. Pray for tomorrow's blood test a positive one. However, the stool still not very nice yet according to Dr. Wong. I am going to bathe this little fella clean tomorrow if d...

Snoozing Away 5th Aug 2011, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
I have had a terrific start to my long weekend. I had a huge sleep in and finally caught up on all the lost hours…
The adorable puppy above was given to me as a gift while I was on holiday in Lebanon. I cuddled the puppy and was ecstatic to hold it but I did not understand the logistics of having received it. I did not live in Lebanon and was heading to Australia in a couple of days. Needless to say, my parents landed the puppy for an interim period where it chewed up a few of my momR...

WHY WE NEED FOSTER FAMILY? 5th Aug 2011, by SPCA Sarawak

Foster parents help by providing a temporary home to the youngsters until they're ready to be adopted into permanent homes. The rewards of being a foster parent are many. They include offering an animal a second chance and the added benefit of receiving the love and attention right back from the animal you nurture. You will directly experience 'temporary mother/fatherhood' by raisi...
