Geng Gebu And The Cow Family! 12th Oct 2011, by AnimalCare
Nurul Hidayah came to our booth during the Cutie Pet Fair. She had come all the way to meet me and also brought Geng Gebu to show me. When she first volunteered to foster Geng Gebu (KTAJ's), they were not doing well. I remember the morning she called me saying one was having diarrhoea and another's eyes had turned upward and was not moving at all. I told her to quickly send them to the vet and get Pets Own Milk.Nurul did that. Pets Own Milk was out of stock, but she managed to get friends t...

Getting Indy To Return Home 11th Oct 2011, by AnimalCare
As you know, Indy ran away from home shortly after the Blueys came. "Ran away" = a few houses down the road.I have been going down the road, hunting him down, and bringing him back for food every day. Last night, I got really worried because he was not at his usual places (under the neighbour's car or on another neighbour's culvert). With the aid of the torchlight, we finally found him....5 houses down the road this time....in another neighbour's house. As we were trying to coax h...

Bagheera Makes Uncle Bobby Eat! 11th Oct 2011, by AnimalCare
So, Bobby's been really choosy over his food lately, refusing to eat all the foods I've bought except his stir-fried chicken and.....Royal Canin Baby Cat! Yes, he has been eating the Blueys' food. I know the protein content is too high, but a friend said that at Bobby's age, just let him eat whatever he wants, especially when we all know it's just a passing whim. He'll grow tired of it soon. So, this morning, I tried the Orijen Fish again....and this time, it was with a little help from my friend...

Need Help With Escalating Veterinary Bills 11th Oct 2011, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
Dear people,we are in the red again due to the escalating veterinary bills. We owe all the five clinics we go to an estimated total amount of about RM67, 000. In addition to this we are also saddled with operational costs of RM3,000 every month to run our half-way-home. Generally, most of the people who 'rescue' dogs and 'hand' them to us by admitting them to these clinics do not do anything after that. We do not see nor hear from them as well. If you need a receipt - please mail to malay...

True Troopers-Patients That Never Gave Up The Fight 11th Oct 2011, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
I am pleased to give everyone an update on ‘Gemma’. I only operated on her 10 days ago. She has bounced back and is on her way to a full recovery. Her examination showed her vitals were all okay and she is in the clear. I can not tell you how thrilled I am to see her in this state.
If she didn’t have a fighting spirit to survive and was not surrounded with a very supportive, loving and dedicated family, she would not be here today.
I of course had to pose with my beautiful girl...
