Bobby's Lunch Routine And Other Idiosyncracies 21st Aug 2011, by AnimalCare
It has been quite a challenge feeding Bobby for the last two years or so ever since he became extraordinarily picky over his food. I have to try all sorts of food just to entice him to eat and at one point, nothing worked. He refused to eat, or would just pick at his food and ended up losing a lot of weight. He doesn't care for AD either. So, when i discovered Canine Caviar AND he actually liked it, I thought I had found an elixir from doggie-heaven. By just eating Canine Ca...

You have no idea how delighted we are when we received some recent updates about Roody . Why, well because it seems he’s adjusting very well at his new home and bonding easily with members of his newfound family (yep and this includes a fellow canine family member). As fate would have it, Roody and his adopter met during our IOI adoption drive 2 Sundays ago. According to his adopter, he can bond very well with the adopter’s existing doggie, Fluffy. In the exact words of the kind adopter “ ...

Snowy Day 3 (leukemia And Lymphoma) 20th Aug 2011, by AnimalCare
Updates on Snowy on Day 3 - it's not good news. Snowy is FeLV positive (which means he has leukemia), but FIV negative. However, he has lymphoma, which is a malignant cancer.
From Agnes:
Snowy has been taken out of the bubble from 10.00pm last night and has been breathing on his own. This was after the vet extracted 136 ml of bloody fluid from his chest cavity (Left 74ml, Right 62 ml). No fluid was detected in the abdominal cavity.
He's tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV +ve) a...

All Is Well With Only-One And Mum 20th Aug 2011, by AnimalCare
Only-One poo-ed twice today and it was FULL of dead worms. We're glad the dewormer is working now and Only-One has finally poo-ed. His abdomen is also not so bloated. He is eating well, fed regularly by Wei Leng and June. The cat-mum seems happier in feeding Only-One now. Maybe she also feels better since she is on the IAMS kitten food that I bought yesterday. We're glad everything is improving now. I've also offered them one of my cages (just returned) should they require one. S...

The Good, The Bad And The Evil (again!) 20th Aug 2011, by AnimalCare
A sharing from Peggy Quah:Forgot to tell you when I came home today, my hubby said he had released a cat put in a cement bag dump in the construction bin at the back lane of the house under renovation. We have a this sadist man who is a cat hater in our housing area living on the next road. He passes our back lane to go to market every day and just eye at my back yard but doesn't comment as we keep the back lane clean, only he takes his rubbish to 'tumpung' on any one dustbin he...
