Veggie Lunch For Dummies (in 20 Minutes!) 26th Nov 2011, by AnimalCare
Ever since I wrote the post about my blended veggie and fruit breakfast, there had been a few comments saying there should be more TV shows on vegetarian cooking, and since everyone is so busy these days, it should be simple cooking, too.
Well, here’s my contribution below. I just cooked vegetarian fried beehoon just now, so if anyone is as “dummified” as I am in cooking, you may want to take a look at what I do! It IS edible, no worries!
Soak the beehoon in water to soften it...

Looking For Puppy Fosterers (Jennifer SL Leong’s) 26th Nov 2011, by AnimalCare
From Jennifer:
Dear Dr Chan
The pups are in their 4th week for this week. One male has been
fostered on 20 November 2011.
As they grow bigger now, they are very demanding and noisy. I am
worried for the neighbours at the back because I have 4 other dogs
with me.
I write to see if you can help me to continue looking for fosterers.
Need another month to foster before they are old enough for adoption.
Attached is their latest pix snapped.
Thank you.
Jennifer

Whoa…here We Go Again! 26th Nov 2011, by AnimalCare
Each time I deal with challenging humans, our policies expands!
And maybe once in a while, I need to put up a post to ever-so-gently remind everyone what we can provide and what we cannot.
It’s all here: http://myanimalcare.org/policies/
In short:
What we cannot provide:
A. We are NOT a shelter and cannot take in your rescues.
B. We are NOT a rescue team and have no expertise or skills in doing rescue work; but we will source for help on your behalf.
C. We cannot provide transportat...

Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2011/11/looking-for- a-vet-in-klang-near-taman-eng-aun-or-a-house/
Last night, I wrote to another friend in Klang to ask if she could help with sourcing another vet or a place to do the spay-neuter for Uncle’s street dogs.
She says she will ask the vets around Taman Eng Aun and spread the word around.
For those who have not been following this news, here’s what is going on, in a nutshell:
1. This elderly Uncle is feeding many strays and they are also mul...

I checked with the vet today and Sugar’s blood tests results are out. They indicate she is fit enough to go through the surgery, but this can only be done on Tuesday since Monday is a public holiday and there is no surgery on weekends unless it is life-threatening.
Sugar even went for a walk and apparently, her front leg seemed okay.

Looking For A Vet In Klang (near Taman Eng Aun) Or A House….! 25th Nov 2011, by AnimalCare
Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2011/11/taman-eng-au n-dog-puppy-rescue/
Ah Fatt had been helping an elderly man (let’s just call him “Uncle”) in Klang. This Uncle feeds many stray dogs in Taman Eng Aun, but the Uncle doesn’t even have a house to stay in.
To cut a long story short, Ah Fatt wants to help this Uncle get the adult dogs spayed-neutered (and rightly so). Apparently, the dogs are friendly towards the Uncle so it should not be a problem to round them up and catch ...
