Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/02/03/another-s ick-cat-at-the-university-majids/ Majid has not updated me ever since he asked for help and I directed him to Dr Veeranoot. Dr Veeranoot also went round to that particular cafeteria to look for the cat. Majid finally updated the good doctor and apparently, according to Majid, the cat does not look as sickly anymore now. From Majid to Dr V: Yesterday we (my wife, Leili, and I) gave some food and medication to him and was is better condition. Toda...

Escape Is The Fashion Of The Day
8th Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

It is nothing new in my cat colony, since Pole has been escaping ever since we moved here. She is a free spirit, has been so ever since she got chased out by her brothers Cow & Bunny 4 1/2 years ago. Yesterday, Indy made two desperate and determined attempts to scale the cat-grilled. Both were successful and once Indy was out, either he was just innocently touring the rest of the house OR there was some unseen (undetected by human senses) territorial competition between Indy and Pole (again,...

Updates On The 3 Musketeers (Our Reader’s)
8th Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

I considered us EXTREMELY lucky in that many times when we shout out for help, someone somewhere will offer (not always, just sometimes, but I’m extremely thankful for these “sometimes”). We helped Kim shout out for help two days ago when she found 4 abandoned kittens and after one day, our reader (she has insisted on anonymity and we shall respect that) offered to help. By then, one had already passed on and there were only 3 left. Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/02/06/urg ...

Jailbreak At Midnight!!
7th Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

In the still of the night, our masked hero makes another attempt at breaking out… He had already succeeded this evening at dinner time when a loud clanging and struggling sound was heard, and there he was, clambering for dear life and heaving himself up the vertical bars with all his might. He was out! Who??  Who???  It is none other than our masked hero….Indy Jones. Yes, the man himself. I’m not called “Indy Jones” for nothing, you know.  He decides to explor...

OK - enough is enough - we have enough to do without having to police our fb page constantly. Please stop emulating other people on facebook (we have blocked and reported this to facebook). And please stop behaving unprofessionally - it appears many are just looking for cheap publicity. We will block more of you if these ungentlemanly posts continue.

Perky And Jane’s Photo Updates (Mei Leng’s)
7th Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

Mei Leng sent me these lovely photos to share:  Dear little Perky, adopted by Mei Leng in 2010. Perky was one of our Klang Pound rescues, taken out from the pound on the day she was due to be euthanised. Then, she was “lucky” in that she was in dire straits, so we brought her back from the farm for treatment. Thereafter, Mei Leng offered to adopt her, and life has been GREAT for Perky ever since!  Little Jane, rescued by Mei Leng; fostered and subsequently adopted by Pn Hanie. No...

7th Feb 2012, by SPCA Singapore

Fosterer Urgently Needed: This is Winter. Her owners wanted to surrender her to the SPCA because she has scabies. We suggested they treat Winter's affliction instead and even provided the medication. Sadly, after just one week, they gave up and left Winter to us. So we're now urgently looking for someone to foster her so we can put her up for adoption. This Schnauzer is about 5 years old and also very timid. So extra gentle handling necessary. SPCA will provide all the medication necessary. This...

7th Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

This is from Azura (0198059234) in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak: Dear Dr Chan, Hi and good afternoon to you. I do need your kind assistance and advice regarding an injured stray dog at my housing area, Taman Riveria, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. I have been feeding these strays whenever they come by my house. However, I notice one dog which I named Brown has terribly injured due to dog fight I assume. There are a few punctures on the left and right of his neck.
