Baggy Passes The First Hurdle – Eating On Her Own!

I decided I’d try giving Baggy ID for a change of taste. My chicken stew may not be tasty enough to rekindle her taste buds.
When Baggy heard me opening the can, she meowed….now, that’s a good reaction, I thought.
So I dished a bit out with my finger and let her smell it.
Not interested.
Force-fed that bit….
Hmm…nice?
Nice!
And she licked the rest off my finger!
And more….
Had started by handfeeding her, but she must have been very hungry because she wanted...

Karuna Goes For Walks! (updates From Uncle)

We managed to speak with Uncle yesterday and the good news is that Karuna now goes for walks with Uncle every day! Looks like it had taken months for Karuna to perk up and now she must be feeling much better than she was before as she looks forward to the daily walks with Uncle.

Updates On Sean (our Distemper Survivor, From His Owner, Charlie)

In our first year (2009), we did some rescue work, and one of our rescues was Sean.
Sean was rescued from the Klang Dog Pound on the day he was due to be euthanised.
He tested positive for distemper, but due to the benefit of youth, he only had a cough and some diarrhoea. He recovered quickly and was fostered by my mother for many months until he got too big and too strong and my mother could no longer handle him.

The 3am Feed For Baggy

It’s strange how Cow did not wake me up today for feeds. Maybe they know Baggy is better already?
But being the human (who doesn’t have the privilege of “knowing”), I woke up to check on Baggy and she seemed very much more alert now compared with yesterday.

…which is normal!
She’s busy grooming herself now, which I hope is indicative of her feeling better?
Will continue the small 1/2 teaspoon feeds and water.
The next hurdle is to eat all by herself….

Baggy Eats Very Small Amounts, But Force-Fed

From the time we came back from the clinic until now, Baggy has had 7 water-sipping sessions. It was at 3.00pm that I got a bit overly ambitious and gave her 6ml of water – she couldn’t take it; she vomited and had diarrhoea within 15 minutes. I contacted the vet and she said to try 3ml.
So, after that, 3ml of water had been fine. I know I won’t be able to make that 150ml target at 3ml per session, but it’s still better than having her vomit and pass out everything.
