A few hours ago, Janice called from Penang saying Brownie had been diagnosed as having distemper. Hence, the nasal discharge and the bloody poo. She needed advice on what to do. I asked if Brownie had gone to the twitching stage, and Janice said no.Of course, I offered whatever information I had, based on what I know and have experienced. I've consulted our panel vet on the treatment for Hemobart. According to him, treatment is easy if the cat is not FIV or FeLV positive and is not resistant to Doxycycline.Catherina says Jackie is not FIV or FeLV positive, and has been given Clavamox, Amoxycycline, Marboflaxacine and another antibiotic.
