These kittens, now named Ber & Cher were found dumped at a rubbish site a few weeks ago. Sumitra took them in from the rescuer and she needed fosterer when she went off for 8 days. We found her a fosterer and Ber & Cher are now back with Sumitra, and doing well.

Medical Subsidy For Herculis For Heartworm Treatment, Stage 3 (Meiji’s)

Herculis is one of Meiji’s many dogs. He was rescued by Meiji and was found to have an “eye focusing” problem right from Day One. Unfortunately, he also contracted heartworms and has been diagnosed to be at Stage 3 now. Meiji takes him to UPM for treatment on a weekly basis.
We have subsidised RM142.45 for this week’s total bill of RM284.90.

Updates at 4.15pm: I advised Hooi to contact PAWS to ask if they have any dog who can donate blood. I’ve just checked with PAWS – Hooi has been given a dog by PAWS and the dog qualifies as a donor and is now boarding at the clinic pending blood transfusion.

Yesterday, there is this indian foreign worker that rode a bicycle and dump kittens at various locations at my housing area. I heard a kitten meowing while I was bathing my dog. Today our job was to inspire youths to take action for animals, at a Service Learning Fair organised by Nanyang Junior College. The response shown by the students to our talk and booth was very encouraging, and we were happy to see many students sign up as ACRES volunteers and asking about how they can get involved with animal protection in Singapore. Thank you to the organisers for inviting ACRES, and to our student helpers who looked after us so well!
